Just because someone else makes a pigs ear of adding data to OSM doesn't mean you should too :)

This sort of thing has been a problem in OSM for a _very_ long time. https://blog.gravitystorm.co.uk/2009/11/10/the-pottery-club/ was written nearly 10 years ago now!
