I agree but check first message of this threat :) remove the "render" part of my message, it keep the same meaning. currently some tag are mutually exclusive for ex if a previous mapper use amenity=drinking water, you can't keep it and add it's a amenity=fountain. That's why my message of fact was not to talk about rendering but about the split between what that look like (fountain, well, tap), the quality (drinkable or not), the function (fill a bottle or fill a tank) and the connector (able to connect a pipe or not).
