+1, which is kind of "on the ground ". You ask people on the ground (nearby) 
and they answer consistently.

Toponyms are an area where a crowdsourced map can make a significant 
contribution to the documentation of this local knowledge, where the collection 
is time consuming and requires a lot of field work.
