No it is not - a mole (also an english word) is a solid pier - it is masonry/stone/concrete structure that is built on the seabed & has the function of a pier. The important difference is that a mole projects from the land like a pier, & is not part of the land like a wharf/quay.

Beware of local misnaming of all of these structures.
