I've just updated the english wiki for ford http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:ford#Deprecated_Tags
I learned that most of the text is generated by a macro, I'd prefer to have my text above the Taginfo block. I am not an experienced wiki editor, is that possible? It also doesn't explain the good reasons why "highway=ford" shouldn't be used on a way (because it removes the chance for an informative highway type to be used). The wiki gets it wrong when it "tells people how to map". It gets it right when it "describes how people map" and (even better) explains why.
