No import for sure and probably "editor" also not in the meaning you meant it ;-). If you really want to appoint some blame, I'm likely the main nominee for the "editor" category :-D. ...I'll give you some short history here: Once they started the proposal for entrance=*, I had already surveyed most of staircase entrances for my area (around 10k entrances, IIRC, I'm too lazy to count now) with some help from other mappers (mainly one). At some point of time I added entrance=staircase and entrance=home to many entrances I had collected already but were tagged only with building=entrance(+ref) as entrance=* didn't exist when I did them for the first time. I did it only for the obvious cases at that point (those which were easy to get right using local knowledge and simple enough to select in editor). That alone resulted in 5k+ of them which was already visible on taginfo overview(!) for entrance=* even before entrance=* was voted. I've since added them to more while surveying more entrances and converted areas to the entrance=staircase while I visit/edit them. Few other mappers I know of have used it too here in Finland (there are also still quite many building=entrance only nodes remaining in Finland too which aren't yet converted). Today there are around 11.7k now in Finland alone, so rest of out 50k most likely happened because others have picked it up either from taginfo (or from wiki as it was added to wiki most likely because of taginfo visibility). Taginfo map seems to indicate it's now well spread around the globe although it doesn't show how many of them are per dot. Am I nominated already, LOL? :-) -- i. _______________________________________________ Tagging mailing list Tagging@openstreetmap.org https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/tagging
