I think this proposal is very relevant for some larger hotel and resorts. I've been myself a few times in a situation when I had to search for the reception over a large area. It can be a trouble if you simultaneously have to get rid of your car in a parking restricted area. Same for multi-entrance campuses where only one door can be used by guests (has a reception).
