How it drains, how thick the hard surface is, lane width, paved shoulders, buildings not adjacent to the roadway with doors extending into the road (saw a collision between a building door opening just in time to get slammed shut by a slow moving truck that happened to be going down the alley; person opening the door was OK), no direct access, lack of dumpsters in the travel lanes, through traffic...
