This is what chimney sweeps in Germany are, an official function to control gas, burners, boilers, stoves etc. and to certificate them. Until 2 years ago you couldn't even choose someone, you had to take the one and only official company with the license for your area. (But they had to charge you the official price, no price flexibility possibile obviously).
