Hi, The Street Cabinet proposal came to Proposed status. https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Proposed_features/Street_cabinet
Briefly, it introduce a new man_made value : street_cabinet, to map all stuff installed in streets (often on pavements) and hosting several kind of utility devices. street_cabinet=* tag is here to precise a bit what's hosted inside. A few more tags are available, more of them already exists in the OSM wiki. Don't hesitate to take pictures, add them on the wiki and we'll try together to find tags to document them as for completing the example section which can't be exhaustive at this time.
