In OSM is it best to create an area and tag sport=swimming/name=xxxx/access=/fee=no? http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Tag:sport%3Dswimming --- Separately: there are quite a number of communities mapping geographic data, like the swimming hole site, that could but don't use OSM. I see good potential for integration for mutual benefit.
