About the reverter plugin was already talked. I only have to say that it has no
maintainer at the moment and several bugs but reverting a whole changeset works.

Probably wrong if you are allowed to ride your bike or walk there. E.g. at least
add foot/bicycle=yes

Wrong. Please use note= or description=

Additional you could add the ponds as nodes or closed ways:

natural=water
water=pond

Think there is also a landuse tag for water cultures.
