Doesn't Amtrak and New York MTA have a couple stations where subways
and Acela bullet trains share tracks and stations?
Acela goes into Penn Station, the only stop in NYC and while there are
stairs/escalators to get
to the subway, that's about it.
Aah, I was under the impression Acela trains were equipped with overhead
pantographs as well as pickup shoes to be able to handle the entry to
the NYC tube.

i didn't say anything about tracks, the tunnel under the hudson is shared.
