I sometimes tag a type with it. In my area there are many individual fountains (usually older ones) but also a lot of the same in ~3 different types. E.g. in your link http://www.roninrome.com/living-in-italy/water-water-everywhere the first pictures are type=nasone (or maybe type=it:nasone). Another criterion might be if you have to keep pushing a button, or there is continuous flow or there is a tap you can open.
