For a while I've been the basket holder for packaging the CrossWire related packages in Fedora. These include:
biblesync mingw-biblesync sword mingw-sword xiphos bibletime As I have not been a Fedora user in quite some time and do not stay abreast of the latest developments over there, I am left in a pretty reactionary position every time a new package rule comes out. For instance in the current month I have had to respond to issues with CMake 4.0 incompatibility, changing the generated build files from make to Ninja, changing of the test runners, and changes in the CMake invocation process for several of these packages. Without a Fedora machine or frequent usage of these environments, this becomes a somewhat tedious process for me to resurrect a Fedora VM, re-learn all the Fedora packaging commands, etc. Is anyone an active Fedora user, approved packager, and wanting to take on these responsibilities? It would alleviate my mind quite a bit if someone else would take these on. Thanks! --Greg
