The human factor in all this should not be underestimated.

Deletions and reversions can have a profoundly negative impact to discourage 
future additions or edits.

I can recall how Chris Burrell as a newbie to the wiki spend a huge amount of 
time to add a lot of detailed information about STEP Bible.

Former CrossWire worker Chris Little just summarily reverted it, with no 
thought to the human factors.

The result was that Chris Burrell was severely discouraged from making any 
further valuable additions to the wiki.

I do not want to see such a scenario repeated. We need all the helpers and 
volunteers we can get.
