No anger. Just the need to clear some space in the wiki to make it readable again.

We do need a balance of "deletism" and addition of content. Preferably within the same people, as this removes any doubt of upset and as we are a very small group. But as it is I think a deliberate and deep cutting delete effort will be needed to clear the wood. The balance is tipped for no fault of anyone other than all of us as a collective.

Always bear in mind any delete is a couple of button clicks from a restore. There is no animosity in deleting things. It is as valid editing as adding things.

Peter,

It comes over from that last reply that you are acting out of anger.

Please pause - you are at serious risk of upsetting your friends.

If anyone has upset you, please take this up with them in private.

Not everyone that reads our developers' wiki is highly technical.

Best regards,

David

I will be shooting Wikipedia links more or less on sight. Many of these
are either irrelevant or aim at a very low level of technical
knowledge.

I am wondering if there is a bot which could clean them all?

Despite using the same technology, the wiki is not (or rather, should
not be) an encyclopedia for general computing knowledge.
