Further to Chris Burrell's reply... BabelPad's Convert Menu for Chinese includes options to convert Simplified to Traditional & vice versa.
In July 2011, I experimented with this, and did comparisons for the diatheke dumps from our two Chinese modules. Details available on request. The important thing to understand is just as Chris mentioned. Conversion accuracy requires the proper textual context. This implies, does it not, that interspersed XML elements within a text could (in theory) nullify the context for such a conversion at any location where a "many to one" CJK ideogram transform applies. Something to take into account of, especially by anyone working on developing or updating source texts.
