The original 1611 printing of the original English Authorized Version also
included (in addition to the much discussed and documented pilcrows) footnotes,
cross references, and sections.. although the sections were listed together at
the beginning of each chapter, in sort of a verse zero chapter summary. Each
page also has a running topical header, in addition to the chapter heading.
I've begun transcribing these features multiple times, only to have nowhere to
land them. I am very interested in contributing to a project like this.

The first printing also included many extra biblical features: a ~30 page
introduction, some ~30 pages of genealogy, a perpetual calendar, multiple
reading reading calendars, and a map of the land of Canaan.

Thanks Chris, for the more up to date title, which I'd come across before,
but had escaped my immediate memory.

If the price puts you off buying David Norton's book "A textual history of
the King James Bible",
then use worldcat to find it in a nearby library.
