Perhaps the best approach to fixing this ChiPinyin module is to start from a known "good" module such as ChiUn in the CrossWire Av11n repository?
http://www.babelstone.co.uk/Software/BabelPad.html BabelPad includes a conversion for Han ideographs to Pinyin. One advantage is that the conversion process is repeatable, rather than depending on manual editing. Another benefit is that the new PinYin module would thereby also include Strong's numbers. NB. The ChiUns module in CrossWire Av11n is also derived from ChiUn, but the conversion was not done using BabelPad. Rather it was done by the C2C utility in Mac OS X. btw. I have compared the outputs from both processes and there are some systematic differences, involving 42 ideograms. More details available on request.
