Diatheke is "no longer supported."  Thus, how it might (or might not)
do it, is irrelevant.

It's actually decently supported. I just don't intend to add new features any time soon. (But I'm happy to accept patches, if others are interested in spending time on it.)

The eggdrop plugin recently got a revamp.

And someone on the forums posted a front-end script to diatheke a couple of days ago.

(But the CGI interface is definitely unsupported. I suspect it's fine now, but I still wouldn't run it on any of my machines.)
