If you check the edit history of
http://www.crosswire.org/wiki/index.php/Module_Repositories, you'll find
that Chris edited the beta entry to provide a hostname distinct from the
standard repository.

The right solution would be simply to name the local directory after the
repository's caption name, e.g. Crosswire and Crosswire-beta.
