Another small task that will need to be done before we can release any Bibles using the planned dynamic versification scheme is the implementation of a zGenBook class. We have zVerse, the compressed version of RawVerse, and zLD, the compressed version of RawLD. But we will need a compressed version of RawGenBook: zGenBook.
The compressed module classes allow compression at different levels of granularity. zVerse can compress either book-, chapter-, or verse-sized blocks. zLD can compress any quantity of LD entries. So zGenBook should probably permit compression at any specified level of the hierarchy (similar to zVerse). Although the dynamic versification rollout (not to mention the filesize of GenBooks) will greatly benefit from having zGenBook available, there is no reason not to commence work on both tasks simultaneously, in case any of you are looking for a less daunting task than the dynamic versification project. --Chris _______________________________________________ sword-devel mailing list: sword-devel@crosswire.org http://www.crosswire.org/mailman/listinfo/sword-devel Instructions to unsubscribe/change your settings at above page
