How do I disable shared? I am just doing ./configure; make; sudo make install. I did notice that the target_system in the Makefile is powerpc instead of macosx. Would that pose a problem?

Darin,
It sounds like you are building with --enable-shared, and you have an old libsword.so on your path somewhere.

-Troy.

PS. The guys at the sword meeting in germany have been doing some bug killing in my code today, so I would do a cvs update

Well, CVS compiles, but doesn't seem to work. Here is my diatheke output and mgrtest results

OK guys!
Thanks for all the great help. CVS now compiles for me again on both windows and linux. Please let me know if you have any troubles getting it compiled on any other os.

NOW. We'll need to do some serious testing. I ran tests/mgrtest and got Bible text out, so I'm pretty happy about that. :)

We also need to do an optimization pass again, since it's been a while. I'll try to get to that soon, but it would be nice to see some time numbers on the examples/cmdline/search tool before and after these SWBuf modifications. I'm hoping they're nearly the same. We can optimize the memory allocation in SWBuf to improve it if we need to.

    Praise God and Happy testing,
        -Troy.
