If you or others have a reason to prefer having uuencoded files in the src tree I'll happily revert. I was aware only of CVS limitations as a reason for uuencoding. We have many binary files in the tree already (e.g. GIF PNG and JPEG images, ELF and PE32 binaries, Berkeley DB files, and various compressed formats).
