Hi all I'm Axel Drioli, director, producer, wildlife sound recordist and spatial audio designer.
I'm currently working on "Wings Across Continents" <https://www.soundingwild.com/swexpedition>, a one-and-a-half-year intercontinental overland expedition following the bird migration along the East Atlantic Flyway between West Europe (Spring 2023) and West Africa (September 2023 to August 2024), creating immersive stories about local migratory birds for the local communities using immersive technologies. The mission is to use forward-thinking storytelling techniques to engage with the local general audience to get them interested in nature through birds which connect many different cultures. We collaborate with local NGOs and experts to interact with people who are not usually interested in nature, creating a bridge between the urban world and local nature. After last weekend's success at the Global Birdfair, we're taking our Immersive Experience <https://www.soundingwild.com/sw-experience> in Bristol at Sparks, where we also have our permanent installation going on. It's free of charge, from Wednesday 26th until Sunday 30th of July, 11 am until 6 pm (5 pm on Sunday). Would love to see some of you if you can make it.
