not if you wish to employ conventional woofers.
your best approach here is to use the usual two-band decode, with a
crossover frequency of 700hz for a single-listener in the center.
the woofers and the LF part of the fullrange speakers will then share
the same decoding technique.
The woofers, if properly placed, can handle
frequencies that have unambiguous direction as well as the
difficult-to-localize low lows. This, then, would be akin to a two-
or three-way speaker system, only better: The woofer would receive a
signal that is position-specific.
yes, that's the whole point of decoding to several subs.
