I like the way a tetramic recording sounds in UHJ stereo but my work

I have a windows commandline encoder for B-format to UHJ that I use,

Do anyone have a pointer to a jack enabled UHJ encoder, settings for
VVMIC or a VST plugin that can encode to UHJ?

At the moment I use Reaper on windows to record, but I can dual boot
to AVlinux for processing.

under linux, you can run jconvolver with the uhjenc plugin, sounds very good, but introduces 2048 samples of latency. and fons has recently added an IIR-based uhj encoder to the AMB plugin set (with zero latency but likely some compromises in sound quality), i haven't had the chance to test it carefully, but a quick run-through showed it does the job, although i prefer the sound of the convolution one.

so what i usually do is use either the vmic plugin or, in the future, the uhj iir plugin for real-time monitoring during tracking, and the convolution-based one for mixing and premastering.

if you're on windows or mac, the AMB plugins will probably be easier to build, since they have no dependencies, whereas jconvolver needs the zita libs, which in turn depend on fftw3, which might be a bit tricker to build.
