This brings the number of 3-D audio panning
systems up to four:

    DBAP -- Distance-Based Amplitude Panning
    VDP -- Vector Distance Panning
    VBAP -- Vector-Based Amplitide Panning
    Ambisonics

Are these all distinct techniques, or are some
of them different names for the same
technique?

Also, there is a Wikipedia article on
Ambisonics. Could I encourage people who
are familiar with the other techniques to create
Wikipedia articles on them.

Regards,
Martin
