That leaves router or the ISP itself.
I contacted the ISP (WOW) and got the response that they could supply the
setting, but they knew nothing more than that. I can't believe that I'm the
only one with this problem. I was suspecting the router until I was able to
setup a gmail account through Thunderbird and it passed through the router.
More and more, suspecting something with WOW. I tried pinging the pop and
smtp routers and had a response, but when I tried to ping wowwow.com or
wow.com, it timed out with no response. To check that it would get to a web
address, I used google.com and had a perfectly normal response.
