View > Unread works for that.
but then, Walt, as I understand this setting, messages with-in a thread
*do not* necessarily appear one after another, but are inter-mixed with
messages from other threads. *Or am I wrong??* (Just checking, I suppose
if I had "Sort by subject" ..... Nupp, not how I work!! ;-)
Everyone works differently.
My headings in the Thread Pane are "Thread", "Subject", "Status",
"From", "Date", and "Order Received". Sort order is by "Order Received",
"Ascending", "Threaded".
I don't see any inter-mixed messages.
You could reduce the number of headings in the Thread Pane to make the
"Subject" heading longer. You may already have done that. You could make
it the only heading.
I feel your pain on the indentation of the subject. Sometimes I switch
to View: All, and just shake my head. Some of those topics in m.general
just go on forever. :)
Subject, Un..., To..., Lines, Junk, Read, From, Date
Messages All, Threads with Unread, Order Received, Ascending, Threaded,
so roughly the same as you, Walt, but you were advising changing to
Messages or Threads to *Unread*, which doesn't suit me.
If I did do that then I would expect to see inter-mixed messages, i.e.
looking at individual messages with, quite possibly the content of one
message having nothing to do with the next or previous message!!
