For a couple of weeks my Iceape (AIUI, this is a rename of seamonkey included with Debian, renamed for subltle reasons of copyright or such) seemed to have a minor problem with its files: when I sent a message, it would complain about being unable to copy my message to the "sent" folder.
As I was going to migrate to a new server any day really soon now, I did not care too much. But this evening, IceApe will not open any existing file at all - it does start, and I could compose a message and even send it. Bizarre enough, it does not complain now. But "compose" is the only active message in the toolbar, all other, including "Get messages" are greyed out, and I cannot see any of my previously received or sent messages. Of course this is close to eternal hell. What can be wrong? I have some insight at the system level, and checked existence and ownership and permissions of the files - could see nothing wrong. (they are in /home/MYSELF/.mozilla/seamonkey/xxxxxxx.default/Imapmail) Apologies if similar questions were psoted before - I searched, but probably with the wrong search terms.
