The Landscape downloader is probably a better thing to look at than the solar system editor. I also agree that the blueprint is somewhat vague and not really suitable as a spec for a GSoC project. Nor was this particular blueprint intended as such - I simply wrote some ideas which came into my head as a way to record the thoughts.
