Hi Matthew

I seldom use the key bindings for anything except ocular control or when
telling anybody the entry to a menu.
With the plug ins which are the principal users of key bindings it becomes
quite a problem as trhe number of static plug ins esculates.
If I can access the option with a button I would never ever think of a key
sequence.
I think a submenu for actions within a plug in is far more useful and easier to
use.

Also Ctrl + C is the common DOS key to kill a program and I think it may also
be grabbed by windows

I don't think a key binding for the compass marks is necessary. I have never
used it but incorporating a button toggle arrangement to give cardinal points,
compass marks or both may reduce some of the clutter.
