Yes, STAF is supported on SunOS 5.10 (also known as Solaris 10). The STAF
download you should choose depends on:
1) The architecture of your Solaris system. (e.g. Sparc or i386 ),
2) Whether it can run 64-bit applications or only 32-bit applications),
and
3) On which STAF installer file you want to use. I'd recommend using the
InstallAnywhere (Bundled JVM) which has a graphical interface. Note that
if you choose to use a GNU zip tar instead, you'll need to extract it to a
temporary location and use the STAFInst installer to install it. See the
STAF Installation Guide for more information about the various STAF
installers at http://staf.sourceforge.net/current/STAFInstall.pdf

You can run uname -a on your SunOS machine to get more information about
its architecture and you can run isainfo -v to see if your Solaris machine
is capable of running 64-bit applications in addition to 32-bit
applications. If it is capable of running 64-bit applications, then you
can install a 64-bit version of STAF. Otherwise, you'll need to install a
32-bit version of STAF.

Output from uname -a on a Solaris Sparc system could look like the
following:
  SunOS machineName 5.10 Generic sun4u sparc SUNW,Sun-Fire-V440

If your system is a Solaris Sparc system and it is capable of running
64-bit applications, you can use a STAF installer for "Solaris 10+ (Sparc
64-bit)" or "Solaris 10+ (Sparc 32-bit)". If it is only capable of
running 32-bit applications, then you should use a STAF installer for
"Solaris 10+ (Sparc 32-bit)".

Output from uname -a on a Solaris x86 or x64 system could look like the
following:
  SunOS machineName 5.10 Generic i86pc i386 i86pc

If your system is a Solaris i386 system and it is capable of running
64-bit applications, you can use a STAF installer for "Solaris 10+ (AMD
Opteron 64-bit, x64)" or "Solaris 10+ (x86 32-bit)". If it is only
capable of running 32-bit applications, then you should use a STAF
installer for "Solaris 10+ (x86 32-bit)".

The STAF download page at http://staf.sourceforge.net/getcurrent.php lists
all the downloads. The ones for Solaris 10 are:

Hi Lucas,
Can I know if STAF supports SunOS 5.10 .
If so which download would be preferable.
