Before starting STAFProc, what is the output of "echo $CLASSPATH"? It
should include /usr/local/staf/lib/JSTAF.jar. The JVM log should have
more information about the error. It is located at
/usr/local/staf/data/STAF/lang/java/jvm/STAFJVM1/JVMLog.1.

Re: [staf-users] Unable to start STAFProc on AIX 5.1

Actually I got rid of this error and was trapped by this very similar one:
Error on Service definition, service event library JSTAF execute
/usr/local/staf/services/stax/STAFEvent.jar
27:Error constructing service, JSTAF, Result: Unable to connect to JVM
Error reading config file
This error suggested that JRE wasn't installed, but I run java -version
and it succeeds (JRE 1.4.2).

echo $LIBPATH produces
/usr/local/staf/lib:/usr/lib:
So STAFEnv was run correctly.

2008/5/13 David Bender <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>:

The error indicates that the LIBPATH environment variable does not include
the STAF lib directory (i.e. /usr/local/staf/lib). What is the output of
"echo $LIBPATH" prior to starting STAFProc? How are you running
STAFEnv.sh? To correctly execute it, you must run ". ./STAFEnv.sh"

[staf-users] Unable to start STAFProc on AIX 5.1

Hello,

On an AIX 5.1 machine, after installing STAF, running STAFEnv.sh when I
run STAFProc I get the following error message:
exec(): 0509-036 Cannot load program ./STAFProc because of the following
errors:
0509-150 Dependent module libSTAF.so could not be loaded.
       0509-022 Cannot load module libSTAF.so.
0509-026 System error: A file or directory in the path name does
not exist.

What should I do?
