Hi! For the moment, yes, you will need to install Spyder 4.2.5 to use the plugin regardles of your OS. However, to do that setup you will need to do the installation using the conda/PyPI package. The installers for Windows and Mac come bundled with a set off packages in an standalone format so it is not possible for the moment to install extra plugins when using them.
