NFPA 13 2025 edition has 23.4 for Exposed Expanded Grp A plastics. But I don't
know if you will be compatible with a refrigerated space. Tyco makes a K25 dry
pendent ESFR.

It may not be the pipe sizes you want to see. I don't know if dry pendents are
an option in your facility.

Subject: [Sprinklerforum] Exposed Expanded Group A Plastics

We are looking at a refrigeration storage facility that is looking at a new
client and they want to make sure they can use the space and asked s to have a
look.

The new client will be storing fish in exposed expanded Group A plastic
coolers, and these will be stored on single, double and multi row racks.

The existing sprinkler system is designed to 0.30usgpm over 2000 ft² plus two
levels of in-rack sprinklers.

I cannot find any protection schemes for design area applications that will
provide protection schemes for the exposed expanded Group A plastics. Is there
something I am missing or can someone point me in the right direction.

Thank You
