NFPA 13 (2019 ED) 19.3.3.2.4  Sloped Ceilings requires a 30% increase in design area when the roof slope exceeds 2 in 12.  I have always thought that this was for quick response sprinklers.  I've actually never had a situation where QR weren't being used, so I haven't given this any thought before.  Now I have a non storage project with a 3 in 12 roof slope using standard response sprinklers, OH2.
Is the 30% increase required for both quick and standard response sprinklers?
