Craig,

Look at NBC (2015 or 2020) 4.1.8.18. I assume Sask uses the NBC.

Subject: [Sprinklerforum] Seismic bracing requirements in Canada

It’s been awful quiet around here lately.

I’ve got a project in Saskatchewan Canada. Industrial facility. Structural engineers can’t tell me if seismic bracing is required or not. After reading through the Canadian Building and Fire codes I am thankful for the IBC/IFC.

Has anyone dealt with this issue in Canada?
