How to have a list of pages ? The issue you are seeing is that you are linking to it via a hyperlink instead of including it in a toctree. Thus it may work for the html builder, but if you output into latexpdf/epub/etc, your document will not work as expected. If that is OK with you, then you can add the text as the first line of every rst file to suppress that warning: :orphan: Otherwise, you can change North_America.rst to look something like this: ***************************************************** Presentation of Noth America ***************************************************** Norh_america is split in 2 contries. Canada ====== .. toctree:: content here USA === The USA is split in 50 contries: .. toctree:: california texas This approach will remove the warnings and also work for builders other than html. If you want to control the link text (not match the first heading in your linked file), then you can specify the titles: .. toctree:: california <California, "Eureka, I have found it"> texas <Don't Mess with Texas> On Thursday, June 1, 2017 at 5:30:15 AM UTC-7, andre1925 wrote: Hello, This my index.rst Welcome to world wide Documentation! ============================== .. toctree:: :maxdepth: 2 :caption: Contents: North_America Europa Then in North_America.rst, I have: ***************************************************** Presentation of Noth America ***************************************************** Norh_america is split in 2 contries. Canada ====== USA === The USA is split in 50 contries: * california .... Hyperlink to california.html (that is built from california.rst) * texas .... Hyperlink to texa.html (that is built from texa.rst) in fact for each countries I have 1 Mo of text. So to avoid a North_America.rst/html page than is larger tahn 50 Mo, I use one contry = one page. This works, and user expeirence is OK. Nevertheless, I have 50 warnings: d:\....\texa.rst:: WARNING: document isn't included in any toctree As I access to the texas.html throught an hyperlink, I understand the warning. Is is an elegant way to suppress it ? Add in the doctree with an hide mechanism ? Is it possible to have an index of pages ? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "sphinx-users" group.
