The issue you are seeing is that you are linking to it via a hyperlink
instead of including it in a toctree. Thus it may work for the html
builder, but if you output into latexpdf/epub/etc, your document will not
work as expected.
If that is OK with you, then you can add the text as the first line of
every rst file to suppress that warning:
:orphan:
Otherwise, you can change North_America.rst to look something like this:
*****************************************************
Presentation of Noth America
*****************************************************
Norh_america is split in 2 contries.
Canada
======
.. toctree::
content here
USA
===
The USA is split in 50 contries:
.. toctree::
california
texas
This approach will remove the warnings and also work for builders other
than html. If you want to control the link text (not match the first
heading in your linked file), then you can specify the titles:
.. toctree::
california <California, "Eureka, I have found it">
texas <Don't Mess with Texas>
