Just to give a bit more detail on today's activity,

This morning we had a spammer getting a lot of emails through so I added the
following to the blacklist_senders file

[email protected]

[email protected]

@cvfashion.com.vn

And in whitelist-ip I have added one IP address today.

Any ideas if those could be the cause?

The funny thing is, on our ASL control panel the load on the server isn't
particularly high and navigating through the websites it hosts isn't too
slow either.

Is it a good idea to kill that process and see if Spamdyke runs again (or
manually start it perhaps)?

Kind regards,

Koha Choji

Subject: [spamdyke-users] Spamdyke CPU usage

Hello,

On our plesk server this morning, we are reading an abnormally high CPU
usage reading due to spamdyke.

Running top gives

PID | 18211

USER | qmaild

PR | 20

NI | 0

VIRT| 33976

RES | 2300

SHR | 1808

S | R

%CPU | 99.9

%MEM | 0.0

TIME+ | 140:18.36

COMMAND | spamdyke

I've tried restarting qmail, xinetd and courier-imap but nothing changes.

In fact I've tried stopping qmail and ran top to see if that actually
stopped spamdyke, but it seemed not to.

I'm very concerned about this and would appreciate if anyone could give me
advice on what to do.

Kind regards,

Koha Choji
