Hi to the group,

I am working on getting spamassassin to work
with qmail and vpopmail on debian 3.0.

The steps I have taken so far were,

1. apt-get install spamassassin

2. edited /etc/default/spamassassin as follows

ENABLED=1
OPTIONS="-v -u vpopmail -m 50 -c"

So use vpopmail config with user vpopmail
most importantly.

3. edited /etc/mail/spamassassin/local.cf as
follows

required_hits 6.0
rewrite_subject 1
report_header 1
use_terse_report 1
defang_mime 1
dns_available yes
dcc_add_header 1
use_dcc 1

4. I then started the spamassassin server

/etc/init.d/spamassassin start

When I go into my mail client to send spam
emails around, they are not tagged by
spamassassin.

I know I have missed something. Can anybody
shed any light on the situation?

Regards,
Phillip Lucs
