I run a P733 with 384MB RAM with Red Hat 7.3. Use
Postfix/Procmail/html-trap (Hardin's Sanitizer)/SpamAssassin combination.
Use DCC, DNSBLs, BigEvil/NovRules/OctRules, Jennifer's
Popcorn/Backhair/Weeds/Cpox, and Bayes with SA. The box is relay only. No
local mail.

I also keep a copy of all headers of all mail, and messages scoring between
8.0 and 10.0 to detect false positives in mbox files.

I peak at 3500 messages per hour and 48,000 per day. I found that the old
BigEvil that used the rawbody would bog me down, but the new URI based
BigEvil can keep up. With all network checks and custom rules, I average
analysis time is 4.1 seconds. Postfix shows processing 60,000 messages per
day, as some are outbound.

I have an identical box used for outbound relay and failover.

I would say that this is about peak for this combination. I'd like to get
RAM up to 512MB to handle queue backups when there is downstream mail
problems (Exchange/Firewall issues).
