We run SA 2.6.1 on 4 identical machines. Each is an Athlon 2600, 1GB ram, 3com nic, seagate 80 GB 8MB cache cuda ATA100 drive. The 4th machine isn't slower, it just got less email sent to it. Friday, they processed: 170140, 147646, 133958, and 63909 messages. Got this by the command zcat /var/log/mail-20040109.gz |grep spamd |grep seconds |wc -l Each machine has backhair, chickenpox, no-osiru, popcorn, and weeds_2 configurations. local config skips rbl checks and has the recent rules for strings of 10+ random words. We use postfix/SA/procmail/qpopper on Suse9.0. We use local files for user prefs. > > I'd be willing to compile a summary should you wish to e-mail me direct ...
