What are the Best Practices with SA to be able to stop these in the future?
Well, it's hard to tell much from the partial message you included.
However, these are some general suggestions for the low scoring blues.
1) are you using the DNS blacklists? (ie: is Net::DNS installed?). Disadvantage: time-delay caused by DNS queries.
2) Consider installing dcc, razor and/or pyzor. I use DCC and Razor here and they help nicely. Disadvantage: time delay caused by server queries.
3) Are you using/training bayes? That email should have been an excellent target for bayes. Be sure to install Berkeley DB and DB_File support (bayes won't go without these basic database tools). Disadvantage: higher CPU and memory usage.
