So, it seems the DYNABLOCK check will hit for any email sent from a PC on dialup/cable/dsl that uses an SMTP server for their domain and the destination is on the same server as the SMTP server. Just trying to fully understand the 2.6 point rule before we "tweak it".
The rule will match any IP with the following constraints:
any IP address *other than the first hop* which is a dialup/dsl/cable home user node.
If only one hop exists, then the first hop will match if it is a dialup.
Basically these rules are designed for people who are not ISPs.
My mailserver at evi-inc.com for example is a standard corporate mailserver, with no "home access" for end user. Theoretically it should never receive any message sent directly from a home user node. Such messages should, theoretically, be sent via the home user's mailserver before coming to xanadu.evi-inc.com.
If you've got some kind of remote access arrangements, or are an ISP, then you need to apply a patch and make config changes so that SA knows to trust them, either that or zero out the score of this rule.
One of the bugs in bugzilla has a patch to facilitate this kind of thing attached to it, but bugzilla.spamassassin.org is not responding at the moment so I can't look up the exact bug number.
