Right. > b) how SpamAssassin only tags but doesn't delete mail, and Right. > c) how automatically deleting mail is probably a really bad idea He said "automatically delete OVER a certain score". Imho, there are 3 classes of messages: 1) those that score above the spam threshold, but below the autolearn threshold WITH the bayes score 2) those that score above the autolearn threshold WITH bayes, but below without Bayes 3) those that are autolearned (ie. above the autolearn threshold without bayes) Catagory 1 gets put in to a folder to look for false positives. After scanning, they have sa-learn run on them (using --ham or --spam). Catagory 2 have "sa-learn --spam" run automatically then dumped to /dev/null. Catagory 3 get sent straight to /dev/null > d) how this question is better answered by using the mailing list > archive. :) only if people would check the archives... -- + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + Chris Barnes AOL IM: CNBarnes [EMAIL PROTECTED] Yahoo IM: chrisnbarnes Computer Systems Manager ph: 979-845-7801 Department of Physics fax: 979-845-2590 Texas A&M University ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: IBM Linux Tutorials.
