Does anyone know how to config spamassassin to delete messages with a score

This question gets asked every 3-5 days and really ought to be in the FAQ.

Agreed, and it should probably be a pointer to entry 1.10 "Is it sensible to simply delete all mail that SpamAssassin marks as being spam?"

Answers generally focus on:

a) procmail

b) how SpamAssassin only tags but doesn't delete mail, and

c) how automatically deleting mail is probably a really bad idea

d) how this question is better answered by using the mailing list
archive. :)

or:

e) If you're not familiar enough with your mail server's operation to figure this out on your own, you shouldn't be auto-deleting.

It sounds harsh, but if you've administered a mail server for any length of time, you'll have determined how to remove high-scoring emails (particularly in *your* configuration). If you've just recently been made the de-facto administrator, and have managed to install SA, congratulations. You're probably trying to find a quick solution to someone complaining about "why can't you just stop all the spam?", but you're probably better off struggling with it for a while, until you fully understand the situation.

I didn't always know enough about my mail server to be able to configure it to drop high-scoring emails. Now that I do know enough about the server, and about SA, I do *not* drop high scoring emails.
